Who We Are

Tsotha is a South African empowered black-owned company founded in year 2012. It was established as a boutique service provider within selected markets. In terms of the Department of Trade and Industry's generic scorecard for Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE), the company is a Level 3 contributor with 50% Black Woman Owned (BWO) shareholding. Tsotha’s core divisions comprise of Healthcare, Logistics, Consulting and Electrical Supplies & Services. The businesses are managed independently while retaining the overarching business philosophy, culture and principles. Each division is led by a highly qualified Principal with vast experience and specific industry practices expertise. Our Principals are accredited by various leading professional bodies representing the specific industries of their specialisation.

Leadership

Tsotha leadership is formed by the founding members and the Principals of the various business divisions. The team has significant corporate experience gained locally and internationally both in strategic and operational arenas. The company has further developed strategic alliances with independent specialists to ensure that our clients enjoy the benefit of leading edge industry insights across all our business offerings. Collectively, the team offers a unique blend of complementary cross-industry expertise resulting in the highest possible standard of service for our clients.

Delivery philosophy

The business was founded on the principle of providing agile and tailored business interventions. Our philosophy is based on the understanding that each client engagement is different, therefore requires a fresh perspective in delivering the service. We understand value adding engagements to be much more targeted, richly contextual, built on understanding the underlying client motivations and business agenda. We believe in using simple, clear and practical methods in our engagements so that the clients are empowered to transparently participate in the delivery of the service.

The management is committed to providing internship opportunities for unemployed graduates, as well as provides a platform for current university students to participate in tailored experiential mentoring initiative. We believe that by offering the young people right guidance, support and access to our network, their chance of employment or self-employment prospects is greatly increased.

Nathi Mbatha. BScHon,MBA

Managing Director

Nathi is a co-founder of Tsotha. He has an international career in Supply Chain Management which began more than 25 years ago (over 15 years in Senior and Executive Management). He has gained extensive and diverse global experience working across industries including Beverage, Gas, Energy and Power. His scope of expertise ranges from the fields of Logistics and Supply Chain Management (SCM), Strategy, Programme Management and Operational transformation.

Thembi Mbatha. BSc,PGD(Public Health)

Director

Thembi is a co-founder of Tsotha. She is a practicing Physiotherapist with a career spanning a period of more than ten years covering both the public and private health institutions. She has held several positions working in different areas including Neurology, Cardiology, Pediatrics and surgical wards.Thembi has become to be well known in the health industry and regarded as one of the leaders in the introduction of the Hydrogen Peroxide Aerial Disinfection Technology in South Africa

Kanelani Mavundza. Bcom,PGD(Strat),MCIPS

Chief Commercial Officer

Kanelani has a corporate career of more than 12 years, completing assignments in various industries including Insurance, Banking, Manufacturing, Public Sector, Energy and Gas. He has occupied various positions as Lead resource for both corporates and consulting houses mainly within the organizational transformation and improvements arena. He has since become a subject matter expert resource within Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Socioeconomic development initiatives.
